Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and AutoQuill AI LLC, an Ohio limited liability company ("PriceHUD", "we") for the PriceHUD app, browser extension, and website. By creating an account or using PriceHUD you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use PriceHUD.
1. What PriceHUD is
PriceHUD is a reference tool. It identifies trading cards that appear on your own screen and shows you a market price for them. Every price is an estimate, built from named sources on a stated date. It is not an appraisal, a guarantee of what a card will sell for, or investment or purchasing advice. You decide what to bid and what to buy.
2. Your account
- You need an account to use the app. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your login.
- One account is for one person. Do not share device keys or logins.
- You must be at least 13 years old, and at least 18 to buy a paid plan.
3. Your responsibilities
- PriceHUD reads what is on your screen. You start every capture yourself through the iOS broadcast picker or the browser extension, and you can stop it at any time.
- You agree to comply with the terms of any platform, marketplace, or app you use alongside PriceHUD. PriceHUD does not act on any platform for you, and you must not use PriceHUD to do so.
- You will not use PriceHUD to automate bidding, posting, or any other action on another service; to circumvent any technical protection on another service; or to scrape, resell, or redistribute price data.
4. Independence
Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Whatnot Inc., eBay Inc., TikTok Pte. Ltd., or The Pokémon Company. All trademarks belong to their respective owners. The same goes for PriceCharting, TCGplayer and any other platform or data provider named here. Their names appear only to describe what PriceHUD works with. PriceHUD™ is a trademark of AutoQuill AI LLC.
5. License to process your screen
When you run a capture, you grant PriceHUD a limited, revocable license to process the screen frames it receives for the sole purpose of identifying the card, returning a price, and checking and improving card recognition. Frames are kept for up to 30 days, as the Privacy Policy describes. Scan results, the prices shown to you, and sale prices observed in streams you watch are kept with your account until you delete it. The Privacy Policy has the detail.
6. Price data and attribution
Prices come from PriceCharting and TCGplayer market data, refreshed daily, plus sale prices PriceHUD observes. Sources and dates are shown with each price where the screen allows. Price data is licensed to PriceHUD for display to you and may not be extracted or republished.
7. Beta
The iPhone app is released on the App Store and is sold under section 8, on the same metered account as the extension. The Chrome extension is released and is sold under section 8. Founding-member promises made in writing during the beta (such as free card reads after launch) are honoured as written.
8. Paid plans and automatic renewal
Every account can price 100 cards a month at no charge, on the same count whether the card came from a stream, the Show tab, the Action Button or the Chrome extension. Failed reads never count, and the count resets on the 1st. Paid plans are sold through the Chrome extension's web checkout and as an in-app subscription on iPhone. Either one moves the same account to Scanner.
- The PriceHUD Scanner plan is an auto-renewing subscription at $12.99 per month for 1,500 priced cards a month. A one-time pack of 500 more cards is $4.99 and requires an active Scanner plan; unused pack cards carry over month to month and are cleared when Scanner ends. Web purchases are processed by a third-party billing provider and PriceHUD never sees your card number; App Store purchases are processed by Apple. Web prices are in US dollars; App Store prices are shown by Apple in your local currency. Either way the price is shown before you buy.
- Everyone who makes an account during the beta keeps 100 free card reads a month after launch.
- Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel before it ends. For a web purchase, cancel from Manage subscription in the extension or from the link in your receipt email. For an App Store purchase, cancel in your App Store subscription settings at least 24 hours before the period ends. Access continues to the end of the paid period either way.
- Refunds for web purchases: email adrian@autoquillai.com. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under App Store terms.
- Failed card reads never count against a plan's usage.
9. Referral rewards and affiliates
Every account has a referral code. When a new account signs up with your code, or adds it within 30 days of being created, and then prices its tenth card, that account and yours each receive 100 card reads. Reads earned this way do not expire and are not cleared when a paid plan ends. A referrer can earn up to 500 reads a month this way; referrals that qualify past that cap earn nothing that month. An account can use one code, once, and cannot use its own code or the code of an account it referred.
Affiliates earn a cash share: 15% of the net subscription revenue PriceHUD receives from each subscriber who signed up with their code, for that subscriber's first six months, less refunds. Pack purchases do not count. An account becomes an affiliate when ten accounts that used its code have each priced ten cards, or when PriceHUD agrees a deal with it in writing. PriceHUD pays affiliates monthly once the balance reaches $25, after a completed W-9, and may withhold or recover payments where the law requires.
Self-referral, referrals generated by automation or by accounts you control, and any other attempt to game these programs forfeit the rewards involved and may end the account. PriceHUD may change or end the referral and affiliate programs at any time; reads already credited and cash already earned stay.
10. Acceptable use
- No automation of any action on another platform through or alongside PriceHUD.
- No attempt to defeat capture protections, rate limits, or usage caps.
- No reverse engineering of the service, and no use of PriceHUD to build a competing price feed.
- No uploading of content you have no right to process.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
PriceHUD is provided as is. We do not warrant that any price is accurate, that a card will be identified, or that the service will be available at any moment. To the fullest extent the law allows, PriceHUD is not liable for any loss arising from a bid, a purchase, a sale, or a missed opportunity, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid PriceHUD in the twelve months before the claim.
12. Disputes
Any dispute between you and PriceHUD is resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, not in court and not as a class, except that either side may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. You can opt out of arbitration by emailing adrian@autoquillai.com within 30 days of first accepting these terms.
13. Copyright notices
If you believe content processed through PriceHUD infringes your copyright, email adrian@autoquillai.com with the subject line "DMCA" and the information required by 17 U.S.C. 512(c)(3).
14. Termination
You can stop using PriceHUD and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, abuses the service, or puts other users or the service at risk.
15. Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, the date at the top moves. Continuing to use PriceHUD after that means you accept the change.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
